Awning damage is often a system problem
The fabric is the part most people notice, but the roller, torsion hardware, arms, brackets, and wall attachments determine whether a repair lasts. A new fabric panel on a bent arm can still roll poorly or put stress on the mounting points.
If the awning was damaged by wind, document the position and the hardware before forcing it closed. Avoid standing beneath a loaded or unstable roller. The safest next step is often to limit movement until the system can be supported and inspected.
