Watch for
Windshield chip or spreading crack
Watch for
Water at a window or wall panel
Watch for
Fogged, loose, or damaged glass
Glass is part of the RV weather envelope
A window or windshield opening has more than a pane of glass. It also includes a frame, gasket or seal, trim, fasteners, and the wall or cap around it. Water may enter at one point and travel behind the trim before it appears inside.
For a windshield, visibility and vehicle safety come first. For a side window, the question may be weather sealing, ventilation, emergency egress, or an insulating-glass failure. Bring the RV make, model, year, and a clear photo of the opening to the first conversation.
