An RV roof has many transitions: vents, skylights, antennas, ladder mounts, front and rear caps, slide-out edges, and sealant joints. Sun, heat, movement, and freeze-thaw cycles can make a seal look intact while it has already lost its bond. Heavy Tennessee rain then finds the smallest opening.
The visible drip is not always above the actual entry point. Water can move along framing, insulation, or a ceiling panel before it shows itself. That is why a good roof repair starts inside the coach and follows the moisture path outward.

The useful question is not only “where is the stain?” It is also “what changed, how long has it been wet, and what roof materials are involved?” A proper repair plan separates the immediate water entry from any soft decking, wet insulation, or cosmetic ceiling damage that may need a different decision.
